DETERMINATION OF CERIUM IN CAST IRON BY TITRATION WITH A HYDROQUINONE SOLUTION (in Russian)

A simple method was proposed for the quantitative separation of cerium with sodium fluoride. A rapid titrimetric method was developed for the determination of cerium with a hydroquinone solution. Treatment of the analytical data by the method of mathematical statistics has shown the absence of a systematical error- and the high accuracy of the results. Cerium determination by the proposed method requires 5 to 6 hours. (auth)
