Using Er/sup 160/ preparations with a half-life of 29.4 hours which is transformed into Ho/sup 160/ by the capture of atomic electrons, the conversion electron spectrum of the Er/sup 160/Ho/sup 160/ -- Dy/sup 166/ chain was investigated. This spectrum differs from the Ho/sup 160/ - Dy/sup 160/ spectrum only in the presence of the conversion lines of the 60.1-kev transition. The study, carried out with scintillation counters and photomultipliers as electron detectors, confirmed in general the decay scheme of Ho/sup 160/, proposed by Grigor'ev et al. (Izvestia Akad. Nauk SSSR, 22, 101, (l958); 22, 821 (1958); 23 868 (1959)). It was found that potential levels are formed at the 581.4 (6/sup +/)- and 1289 (5/sup +/)-kev levels. The 405.7-kev transition takes place at least partially between the l695.0 (4/sup +/)- and 1289 (5/sup +/)-kev levels. The tests confirmed that during the decay of Ho/sup 160/ the following excitation levels are obtained: 966.6 (2/sup +/); 1049.5 (3/sup +/); 1156.4 (4/ sup +/) and l695.0 (4/sup +/)-kev. (TTT)
