MEASUREMENTS OF THE K CONVERSION COEFFICIENTS AND THE ACTIVATION CROSS SECTION OF THE ISOMERIC NUCLEI Se$sup 77$m, Se$sup 79$m, Ge$sup 75$m, AND Ge$sup 77$m (in German)

The K conversion coefficients alpha /sub K/ of the nuclear isomers Se/ sup 77m/,Se/sup 79m/, Ge/sup 75m/, and Ge/sup 77m/ were measured by detecting the K x-ray and gamma radiation from neutron-irradiated Se and GeO/sub 2/ samples with the aid of scintillation counters to be alpha /sub K/=0.79 plus or minus 0.06,7.4 plus or minus 0.6,1.44 plus or minus 0.13, and 1.2 plus or minus 0.6, respectively. In all cases, the values obtained, are in agreement with those taken from the tables of Bose under the assumption of an E3 transition, thus confirming this assignment which was proposed earlier by other authors. In addition, the cross sections 0 for inducing the activities by slowed down neutrons were measured to be 0 = 22 plus or minus 2, 0.40 plus or minus 0.04, 0.20 plus or minus 0.02, and 0.12 plus or minus 0.03 barns, respectively, and are compared with earlier data of several authors.
