Liapounoff' s second method is used for the determination of the conditions of stability of nuclear power reactors. The problem of a double lag power reactivity feedback is analyzed in detail. The stability properties of reactors with a positive and a negative power coefficient of reactivity, of boiling water reactors, and of reactors with xenon build-up are considered in the examples.
