THE CHROMEL A VS. NO. 875 ALLOY THERMOCOUPLE SYSTEM FOR FUEL ELEMENT TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENTS. Summary Report

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4807201
The Chromel A vs. #875 thermocouple system was evaluated for measuring surface temperatures of Nichromeclad fuel elements. Calibration studies were carried out on bare and sheathed thermoelements, and the effects of a hydrogen braze cycle and aging on the calibration were studied. It is concluded that the thermocouple system is stable and dependable. (D. L.C.)
