Equations were derived for describing densification in sintering powders by hot pressing, sintering under pressure, and ordinary sintering without outside pressure. Values were determined for the shear viscosity coefficients of compact ZrB/sub 2/ at sintering temperatures and for the energy of lattice disintegration. (auth)
