The complex formation of TBP in the systems TBP-H/sub 2/O, s of infrared spectroscopy. The infrared spectra of uranyl nitrate in the system TBP-HNO/sub 3/ -UO/sub 2/(NO/sub 3/)/sub 2/ lead to the conclusion that the competitive extraction of both uranyl nitrate and nitric acid takes place during the extraction process.
