RESEARCH ON THE HAZARDS ASSOCIATED WITH THE USE OF LIQUID HYDROGEN IN BUBBLE CHAMBERS. Final Report No' 3861
Technical Report
·
OSTI ID:4806012
The hazards arising in H bubble chambers from window failure, or other failures such as vacuum tanks or vent systems were investigated. Special efforts were made to determine the nature of glass window failures, the results expected from glass fragment impingement on materials, vent system performance, characteristics of H detection systems, ignition of H--air mixtures, and the results of such ignition in closed places.
