TRANSISTORIZED GENERATOR VOLTAGE CONTROL FOR A PRECISION, LARGE CURRENT MAGNET. Technical Report No. 42

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4804210
A fully transistorized generator voltage control for a precision cyclotron magnet current regulator is described in detail. Need for an external power supply for the generator field current is eliminated by using self excitation. The control is stabilized by an auxiliary AC feedback loop. Variations in the generator output voltage are < 0.1 volt. With a slight modification the circuit can be used as a simple, versatile generator voltage regulator with about 0.1% regulation. (auth)
