ANGULAR DISTRIBUTION OF 6.2 Mev PROTONS ELASTICALLY AND INELASTICALLY SCATTERED BY S$sup 3$$sup 2$ (in French)

A study was made of the angular distribution of inelastically scattered 6.2-Mev protons leaving S/sup 32/ in its first excited state at 2.25 Mev. The shape of the curve of elastic angular distribution appears to confirm the predictions of the optical model with Coulomb forces. The angular distribution of inelastically scattered protons shows an asymmetry with respect to 90 deg . The preference for the forward direction seems to favor a direct interaction mechanism for S/sup 32/ (J.S.R.)
