CONTROL UNIT FOR AUTOMATIC NORMALIZATION OF FOIL COUNTING

A control instrument for use in an automatically normalized counting system is described. In response to command signals from a preset scaler, the control instrument provides the preset scaler with a clock signal or a counting signal representing the activity of a monitor foil. This procedure makes optimum use of the available activity. The instrument provides two internal sources of clock signals, and can be used for fixed-interval counting. Details of the design, construction, and adjustment are given. (auth)
