The differential cross sections for the elastic scattering of 29-Mev He/ sup 3/ particles by F/sup 19/ has been measured using a photographic technique. The angular distribution of He3 particles eIastically scattered has been compared with Rutherford scattering, and a value of 6.01 plus or minus 0.27 fermis is obtalned for the interaction radius, using the Fraunhofer diffraction formula for a strongly absorbing disk. By means of a vacuum exposure, a study was carried out for background tracks in the plates, coming from the scattering gap and collimating stops. (auth)
