ELECTRON MOTION IN CROSSED HETEROGENEOUS ELECTRIC AND MAGNETIC FIELDS (in Russian)

Studies were made of electron motion in electric and magnetic fields in coaxial cylinders. The electric field was obtalned by utilizing the difference between electrode potentials, and the magnetic field was produced by the current passing the electrode core. The initial (nonzero) pitch of the loop-shaped trajectory was determined as well as the rotation frequency and the mean shift of the electron along the axis. The influence of certain parameters on the electron motion was also analyzed. A specific problem is resolved for electron motion in heterogeneous crossed fields in the space between cylindrical condensers when a round cable is the internal electrode, a hollow cylinder is the external electrode, and the initial electron velocity is different from zero.
