THERMAL FLUX DISADVANTAGE FACTORS FOR SLAB GEOMETRY

A simple method based partly on blackness theory and Theys' method based on the Integral Transport Theory) is described for calculating thermal flux disadvantage factors for fuel slabs. The calculations are compared with those performed with Theys' method and the DSN (S-8) method. The results show that the method is in better agreement with the S-8 calculations than Theys' method.
