DESIGN AND TESTING OF A SHIM SERVO AMPLIFIER
Technical Report
·
OSTI ID:4800101
A Shim Servo Amplifier was designed which when properly connected to the output of an existing sensor and a remotely located control unit would move shim rods at a velocity proportional to the flux error to regulate reactor power. The unit met a large number of requirements yet was simple in construction, rugged, and light in weight. The theory of operation, design, and operational characteristics of this servo amplifier are discussed. (auth)
