ELECTRON SCATTERING BY ATOMIC HYDROGEN IN 1s, 2s OR 2p STATE. PART II

Journal Article · · Proc. Phys. Soc. (London)
The electron scattering cross sections by hydrogen in the ls, 2s, or 2p state are computed on the basis of an approximation, which includes all coupling terms between these states but which excludes all others. Full account is taken of electron exchange. Results are obtained at low energies of impact for those states of the system with low angular momentum. The effect of coupling and exchange is found to be important. (auth)
