GRIP WITH ELECTRIC CONTROL
ABS>A grip for the remote handling of elements inside a channel of a nuclear reactor is described that comprises, positioned successively inside an elongated cylindrical casing: an electric motor; a reduction gear; a threaded driving shaft at the exit of that gear; a nut screwed on that shaft, whrch can slide axially, although its rotation is prevented; and a pushrod that controls the opening and closing of a number of jaws pivotally mounted in the casing. The pushrod is provided with two appropriate profiled shoulders, which cooperate with profiled edges of each jaw. Two circuit-breakers are actuated by the push-rod in the opened and closed position of the grip to control the feeding circuit of the electrrc motor. (NPO)
