EVALUATION OF SOLID BORON STAINLESS STEEL SHIM-SAFETY RODS FOR THE FORD NUCLEAR REACTOR
Technical Report
·
OSTI ID:4795685
Activities are reported in a program on design and evalu ation of anti- jamming shim-safety rods for the Ford Nuclear Reactor. It was concluded that boron stainless steel rods provide a dependable means of shutdown and are more safe than the presently used boron-carbide-filled rods. Replacement with these rods is recommended. (J.R.D.)
