THERMODIFFUSION OF Li-ISOTOPES IN PURE MOLTEN LITHIUM NITRATE (in German)

The light Li isotope was enriched at the hot side in thermodiffusion in molten LiNO/sub 3/. The Soret coefficient is 3,3 plus or minus 0.2 x 10/sup -5/ grad/sup -1/ (probable error indicated) in the temperature range 278 to 425 deg C. The enrichment in a convection cell agrees satisfactorily with these results. The Soret coefficient and the conversion heat are smaller than in solid Li/sub 2/ SO/sub 4/. (tr-auth)
