IRRADIATION EFFECTS IN STRAIN-AGED PRESSURE VESSEL STEEL
Results of Charpy V-lmpact tests, sub-size lmpact tests and tensile tests show that both neutron irradiation and aglng cause deterloratlon ln the properties of mild steels by increaslng the brittle-ductile transition temperature. Both these effects are additive. The steeI tested was a modified version of the Swedlsh standard steel SIS I42103, being an aluminum-kllled carbon manganese steel. (N.W.R)
