ION-EXCHANGE SEPARATIONS USING SULPHOSALICYLIC ACID

Journal Article · · Talanta (England)
Ion-exchange separation of metal cations is carried out by elution from a 4- to 8-cm cation-exchange column with sulfosalicylate at pH 6 to 7. Al/sup 3+/ , Fe/sup 3+/ , Ti/sup 4+/ , U/sup 6+/, V/sup 4+/. amd Zr/sup 4+/ are quantitatively eluted, and Th/sup 4+/ and Cu/sup 2+/ are pSTAartly eluted. Other bivalent metal ions and rare earths are quantitatively retained by the column. (auth)
