COMPLEX FORMATION OF ZIRCONIUM WITH ORGANIC ACID ANIONS IN SOLUTIONS (in Russian)

The formation of zirconium complexes in oxalic, malonic, succinic, and tartaric acids was analyzed. In Zr(IV) oxalates, malonates, and succinates the addend- metal ratio is 1 : 1, while the tartarates form two compounds. Complex zirconium tartarates and succinates possess a catalytic activity. The nominal equilibrium constants are calculated for the formation of STAZr(OH)C/sub 2/O/sub 4/!, STAZr(OH)/sub 3/ C/sub 3/H/sub 2/O/sub 4/!/sub -/, STAZr(OH)C/sub 4/H/sub 4/ O/sub 4/! p +/, and STAZr(C/sub 4/ H/sub 4/O/sub 6/)/sub 2/!.
