THE RADIATION INDUCED EXCHANGE OF CARBON-14 BETWEEN ETHANE AND METHYL AMINE

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4790986
The radioinduced exchange of C/sup 14/ between ethane and methyl amine was studied as a function of the pressure of ethane and methyl amine, and the irradiation time. A mechanism was proposed to explain the results of the measured exchange. This mechanism includes a molecular detachment from ethane followed by a reaction with ethane, and an energy transfer between ethane and methyl amine. (auth)
