Nuclear Pulse Current-Sensitive Amplifiers
Journal Article

· IRE Transactions on Nuclear Science
The development of current-sensitive feedback amplifiers and their application to nuclear instrumentation is described, and is exemplified by a non- overloading amplifier stage. Characteristics of this stage include a stage gain of 40, a loop gain of 250, a rise time of 0.2 μsec, and an input resistance of six ohms. Specific applications include uses in linear current discriminators, current-to-voltage converters, charge integrators, and delay line shapers. A review of feedback theory and design equations is included.
