ADSORPTION EQUILIBRIUM KINETICS IN LEACHING WITH RADIOACTIVE TRACERS (in Russian)

Investigations of thorium and monazite leaching kinetics show that the necessary times for equilibrium between the mineral and solution and for complete mixing depend on the H/sup +/ concentration and on the dissolution rate of Thhydrolysis products. The results indicate for monazite leaching by 0.07 N sulfuric acid and 0.23 and 1.1 N hydrochloric acid the equilibrium is reached at 8, 3, and l hour, respectively. (R.V.J.)
