The possibility of preserving cold neutrons in a 1-m/sup/3 cubic cavity with beryllium walls is considered. The lifetimes of the neutrons with respect to capture and heating are estimated. The probability of heating up of the neutrons by surface oscillations of the walls is also estimated. (auth)
