ANISOTROPY IN SOLAR PARTICLES INCIDENT ON POLAR REGIONS DURING JULY 1961

Journal Article · · Journal of the Franklin Institute (U.S.)
Neutron monitor data are presented for Thule, Greenland (geomagnetic latitude 88 deg N) and McMurdo Sound, Antarctica (geomagnetic latitude 79 deg S) for the two sudden cosmic ray intensity increases on July 18 and 20, 1961. Comparisons are made with other stations, and the solar flares and other cosmic ray events associated with the increases are discussed. (D.L.C.)
