A Contribution to the Use of the Copper Spark Method in Analysis of Radioactive Solutions; EIN BEITRAG UBER DIE ANWENDUNG DER "COPPER SPARK"-METHODE IN DER ANALYSE RADIOAKTIVER LOSUNGEN

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4782431
The spectrographic copper spark'' method has found especially great use in the trace analysis of radioactive solutions. The influence of various factors, such as the preparation of the electrodes, the preparation of the standard solution, and the method of application and evaporation of the solution are discussed. The detection sensitivity of the method was reduced by the presence of metals in the solution in amounts from 50 to 100 mu g/ml and strong acidity. The method of the application and evaporation of the solution od the copper electrode influences the accuracy of the determination. (tr- auth)
