A reactor fuel assembly comprising a plurality of fuel rods is designed. Each rod is suspended from a support at its upper end, and each support has horizontal arms with recesses or projections for engaging adjacent supports. A band encircling the supports is used to clamp them together to form a structure, and lugs are provided on the band to engage slots in the wall of the fuel channel. (D.L.C.)
