Journal Article · · Physical Review (U.S.) Superseded in part by Phys. Rev. A, Phys. Rev. B: Solid State, Phys. Rev. C, and Phys. Rev. D
The BETA - gamma circular-polarization correlation in the decay of Mn/ sup 52/ has been measured by means of Compton forward scattering. The constant A was found to be A = 0.00 plus or minus 0.02 which implies a value of x =--0.08 plus or minus 0.03 for the ratio between Fermi and Gamow-Teller contributions to the decay (standard deviations). This result is in agreement with theoretical e stimate s. (auth)
