The fabrication of two gradient coil assemblies was completed, and the main Al vacuum chamber was installed and operated. Continued work on construction of the r-f system and on measurements related to two beam focusing magnets is reported. Fabrication of the ion source was completed and design of the electrostatic deflection system was finished. Other systems and items completed include the water cooling system, remote control circuitry, and television. (J.R.D.)
