MULTICOMPONENT ISOTOPE SEPARATION IN CASCADES

Journal Article · · Chemical Engineering Science (England)

A reply is given to Clarke's comments on the matched abundance ratio (matched R) as a mixing criterion in separation cascades. The limitations of the matched R criterion are discussed, The matched R cascade is generaliz and a new function, the key weight function, is introduced. The function involves altering the separation characteristics of three-component cascades by adding two dummy components with varying molecular weights. (D.L.C.)
