An ionization chamber is described having means to control the reference level of ionization current. The chamber is of rugged construction. Energy dissipation is negligible, and the adverse effect of power supply fluctuations is minimized. (R.J.S.) O H4871 The construction of the four-stege separation cascade is described which was calculated in previous studies. The plant produces 0.16 mole carbon per day with a designed production concentration of 12% C/sup 13/, while the calculation was based on a producti on output of 0.18 mole. The production concentration of 12% C/sup 13/ is attained after a startup period of 53 hrs. (auth)
