The design of the electrostatic injector for the 7-Bev proton synchrotron is described. The performance of the acceleration tube and gas insulator is analyzed. Descriptions are given of the ion source system, the charge current stabilizatiin system, and the beam and magnetic field analyzer. (tr-auth)
