A recording magnetometer with a permalloy transducer and using a potentiometer for measuring and recording currents in the compensation coil is described. The field measuring accuracy is plus or minus 0.03 gauss; the device is capable of measuring field shift at a rate <4.5 gauss/sec. (R.V.J.)
