BASIC EXPERIMENTAL STUDIES OF BOILING FLUID FLOW AND HEAT TRANSFER AT ELEVATED PRESSURES. Monthly Progress Report, July 1962

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4767265
Work was carried out on the Dissolved Helium Annular Test Section. The subcooled burnout tests are described. Data were collected at 1000 psia for nominal inlet water velocities of 10, 15, and 20 ft/sec subcoolings of 5 to 125 deg F and no helium addition to the coolant. Some preliminary results were obtained at 1000 psia with helium dissolved in the coolant stream and at 500 psia with no helium addition. (auth)
