The coolant of a reactor which is enclosed by a doublewalled container is circulated by a blower situated inside the inner wall. The blower motor is positioned outside the container. Generally the two walls are submitted to different thermal expansions, so that special measures are necessary for ensuring the tight transmission of the revolution movement from the motor to the blower. Preferably the space bounded by the two walls is tilled with a barrier gas at a pressure higher than the pressure of the reactor coolant. The inner wall is extended at its bottom by a tubular collar having lateral protuberances in which the blowers are situated and which supports the bearings of the blower rotor axle. The outer wall also shows at its bottom lateral protuberances nearly in alignment with corresponding protuberances of the inner wall and provided with bearings for an axle section coupled with the motor. This latter axle section is coupled with the blower rotor axle by a double cardan shaft and a grooved shaft axially slidable in a corresponding axial hole provided in the blower rotor axle so that the mutal movements of the protuberances do not disturb the transmission of the revolution movement.
