THE CONTRIBUTION TO THE EBOR PROMPT TEMPERATURE COEFFICIENT DUE TO THE DOPPLER BROADENING OF U-235 RESONANCES

The temperature coefficient of reactivity caused by the Doppler broadening of U/sup 235/ resonances was calculated ior the EBOR. Assuming that the NRlA approximation applies in a loading of 100 kg U/sup 235/ and 89 kg U/sup 238/, the contribution to the prompt coefficient by U/sup 235/ is negative and about an order of magnitude less than the U/sup 238/ contribution at 300 and 980 deg K.
