PLUTONIUM AS A FUEL FOR THE LOS ALAMOS MOLTEN PLUTONIUM REACTOR EXPERIMENT
Descriptions of LAMPRE I and its operation are presented. It is pointed out that the reactor was designed to provide a testing function and should not be regarded as a prototype design. The description serves as a method of reporting the status of the project. While problems of handling molten Pu are not solved, promising progress toward solution of these is reported. (J.R.D.)
