Report on the x-ray sensitivity and the mitotic cycle of the mouse spermatogonia (in Italian)

The x-ray sensitivity of mouse spermatogonia in various stages of the cell cycle was studied, by combining x irradiation and H3-thymidine labeling, 1 hr prior to x-ray exposure. It was shown that damaged spermatogonia die as they reach a definite stage in the mitotic cycle. This stage is metaphase- anaphase for type B spermatogonia and early prophase or late interphase for type A and intermediate spermatogonia. The post-DNA synthetic period of the cell
