The kinetics of the isotope exchange reactions of alkyl and aralkyl iodides and the effect on anilines on these processes were studied. The kinetics of the desorption of alkyl iodides on activated carbon and red phosphorus were followed experimentally. From the desorption data and from the application of differential isotopic methods, it was shown that, simultaneously with the adsorption, chemical reactions occur in the case of red phosphorus, whereas in the case of activated carbon a reversible adsorption is present. These facts were supported by the research data obtained in the isotope -exchange reactions between adsorbed organic iodides and the potassium iodide present in the liquid phase. (tr-auth)
