DECAY STUDIES IN THE NEUTRON-DEFICIENT Au-ISOTOPES. PART A: ODD ISOTOPES

Journal Article · · Arkiv Fysik
OSTI ID:4761395
The decay of neutron-deficient Au isotopes produced in the reactions Pt(p,xn)Au is studied with a semi-circular beta spectrograph and three double- focusing beta spectrometers. A decay scheme including 14 levels is proposed for the decay Au/sup 191/ yields Pt/sup 191/(3.0 hr). For Pt/sup 191/ yields Ir/ 191/ ( 3 days) and Au/sup 193/(17 hr) information on high-energy transitions and energy values is obtained. The stronger transitions are analyzed with respect to multipolarities, and tentative spin assignments are given to some of the levels. (auth)
