sian) To avoid a non-unique phase analysis of nucleon-nucleon scattering at high energy, it is proposed to study polarization of deuterons in their elastic scattering on protons. The expression for polarization tensors of a deuteron beam is given in terms of the phases of N-N scattering. The whole consideration is carried out phenomenologically. It was found that the study of polarization of deuterons differs considerably from the sets of phases of Marshak and Signell on the one hand and of Gammel and Thaler on the other. At high energy the vector polarization of deuterons seems to be important. (auth)
