The differential cross sections for pair productions of fermions with spin 1/2 was first given by Bethe-Heitler, and the corresponding expression for bosons with spin 0 was given by Pauli-Weisskopf. At high primary gamma energy, there are significant deviations from these first approximations. In the present report, extremely relativistic approximations of the Bethe-Heitler and Pauli- Weisskopf formulas were derived and represented graphically. These approximations are not valid for angles theta << 1. The dependence on the primary energy is represented in a simple manner. The ex tremely relativistic limiting cases for fermions and bosons are derived. The effect of shielding on the scattering cross section is determined. (J.S.R.)
