THE UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN 83-INCH CYCLOTRON. PART II. THE R.F. SYSTEM

Journal Article · · Nucl. Instr. Methods
The r.f. system is a two-dee half-wave system using deestem insulators. The frequency is continuously adjustable under full power from 8.5 to 15 Mc/sec by means of shorting diaphragms. Designed for 140 kv peak dee-to-dee voltage the total r.f. power required is 170 kw. The three basic components, the resonator, the oscillator, and the coupling loop are described. (auth)
