ABS>Techniques used in experiments on the isotopic composition of LiF are extended to work on additional LiF and LiH compositions at various temperatures. Experimental results indicate that variation of isotopic mass appears to be a useful probe for elucidating the photon-photon interaction in isotopically pure substances, wherein the main features of the elementary theory are borne out for the principal absorption peak. However, variation of isotopic composition in isotopically impure substances does little to clarify the photon- photon interactions.
