The static capsules for investigating the effects of cesium liquid and vapor on type 310 stainless steel, Inconel X, zirconium, hafnium, niobium, tungsten, tantalum, molybdenum, and niobium-zirconium alloy were prepared, loaded, and sealed. A detailed description of experimental techniques and of the static test system is presented. The static test run is under way. The boiling- refluxing capsules are being prepared for loading with cesium and sealing, A paper by W, Unterberg entitied Thermal Design of Liquid Metal Gravity Reflux Capsules'' is included. (auth)
