ENERGY COMPOSITION OF THE EXTENSIVE AIR SHOWER CORES

A detector consisting of four trays of ionization chambers with lead and carbon between them was used to measure the energy of electron-photon and nuclear active components near the axis of air showers. Relations were determined between shower size and energy of the electronphoton component of the shower core, between shower size and energy of the nuclear active component of the shower core, and between energies of the electron-photon and nuclear active components.
