The isodoses of ultrahard x rays from the 15.5 Mev betatron of the Siemens-Reiniger-Werke were determined for different field sizes at a constant pendulum angle of plus or minus 90 deg and at a pendulum axis depth of 8 or 10 cm using ionization chambers. Body-like water phantoms Nr. 822 and 808 a of the Physikalisch-Technischen Werkstaetten (thorax or abdomen of young people and adults) were used. Isodose graphs and their values are given and compared with the values of the lead filters as well as with the fields used. These values can be used for preparation of the irradiation plan. (auth)
