Magnetic properties of a superconductor of the second kind

Journal Article · · Physics Letters
Magnetization measurements were made on an In + 2.5 at.% Bi specimen between the transition temperature and 1.31 deg K. The parameter n of the Ginzberg-Landau theory was determined from the data in four different and largely independent ways. The agreement and self-consistency of the results appear to verify the Ginzburg-Landau-Albrikosov model of superconductors of the second kind, at least for low values of n. (H.D.R.)
